KDD started on February 26, 2003 because I was bored and wanted to create a Digimon site. In the first year, the site got just over 1,000 visits. It wasn't very famous, but I (KendoGarurumon) kept building it and making it bigger and better. KDD became famous at the end of its second year, when I got some affiliates and added my site to the Open Source Project and the Google Directory. By its second anniversary, KDD had over 3,000 hits. From there, KDD stayed popular and the hits went way up. We made our goal of 15,000 hits by KDD's third birthday in February 2006 and finally discovered the tons-of-hits secret: Put the hit counter on every page. Now we're aiming for at least 50,000 hits by KDD's 4th birthday.
